Chapter 74-The Gift Of Life

Weddings do take a lot of time to plan and there is so much work to be done. For months that was the only thing on Chrissie and Mickey's mind, but after the last dance and all the guest have gone home it’s time for the newlyweds to start the next chapter of their new life together.  This is a new and exciting chapter of their lives that they would write together as husband and wife.  Their future is bright and full of promise and no matter what happened they knew they would always have each other.

The very next morning they woke up in each other’s arms for the very first time as a married couple. Chrissie never really knew how good it felt to wake up with someone she was in love with until Mickey kissed her and said "Good morning Beautiful” instead of..... She didn't even want to think about that anymore as it was part of her past and Mickey was her future. They stayed in bed for as long as they could and they showered together as they didn't want to leave each other not even for a minute.

Their plane to Hidden Springs was to take off later that afternoon but they still had to stop by Mickey's apartment and pick up the last of his belongings.  It had already been decided that Mickey should move into Chrissie's parent’s house just for the time being as Dimitri was still at large.  Dimitri is a powerful vampire who knew exactly how to use his abilities and powers which put the couple at a disadvantage.  Chrissie is a vampire who rarely used her powers and they couldn't take a chance that Dimitri would move too fast for Mickey.  They hoped that the police would eventually catch Dimitri, but that hope faded with each and every passing day. Wolfie still had 24 hour security protecting the Slayer house, the school where the both Chrissie and Mickey worked and the afterschool program that they owned.  Eventually the couple wanted to move into their own home but for now they decided to play it safe.

They arrived in Hidden Springs later that evening and went out for a romantic dinner after they settled into their hotel room.  They went to check out the spa which was the main attraction of this resort and made plans for a longer visit the next day. Throughout the dinner neither took their eyes off each other and they blocked out everything and everybody as they only thought of each other.

In public they would hold hands, embrace, kiss and they looked like a couple of lovesick puppies.  Back in their hotel room when they cuddled in each other’s arms as they whispered sweet nothing in each other’s ears.   That is what they did when they weren't making love which was as often as possible.

They were typical newlyweds and they acted exactly the way typical newlyweds usually do.

Chrissie did receive a visit from her cousin Chelsea who continued to live in Hidden Springs after she finished her season on "The One."   Chelsea had married Neal and they had a baby girl named Catalina.  This was a surprise to the whole family as no one ever expected that girl to settle down.  Chelsea and her husband planned to attend her cousin's wedding but when Catalina was running a temperature they knew they couldn't leave her. The two couples enjoyed spending the afternoon together and Chelsea gave them an open invitation to visit their house before leaving to go home.  It was an invitation that Chrissie was very willing to accept as she did missed spending time with her cousin and she wanted to see the baby.

Meanwhile back in Aurora Skies:

Moving out of Moonlight Falls was difficult for Pip but now that he has officially lost that territory back to the Altos, he didn't have any choice but to move his operations into his own turf.  He still had Aurora Skies and Riverview firmly in his back pockets but some of his other territories were being threatened.  One of his shipments was hijacked going into Sunlit Tides and he knew he had to put an end to it before he lost that one next.

Losing Moonlight Falls was a devastating blow to Pip and he knew that if he didn't make a move now things would only get worse.  No one was taking him seriously and he needed to make some changes and the first one would start at home.

He made a promise to his wife that he would protect her from the law if she provided him with a fairy child that he could pass off as his own and she did.

She gave birth to a baby girl named Tennille and the court of the fae recognized Pip as her legal father.  No one would ever suspect she actually that she was the bastard child of a vampire.

His wife slipped back into her old ways of screwing around and everyone knew it.  If he wanted respect in business he had to make sure that no one including his own wife was able to make a fool out of him and get away with it.  He sat down and tried to figure out what his options were.  He couldn't divorce her as that was against the code of honor but he couldn't stay with her either if he wanted to be taken seriously as a business man.

He wondered why he had to be the unlucky one who was caught with her all those years ago.  She willingly opened her legs for anyone with a hard on but as luck would have it he had to be the one that her parents caught her with. According to the code of honor anyone who deflowered a young maiden was bound to make her an honest woman out of her.  An honest woman of Dahlia, now that was a laugh as her virginity was long gone by the time he banged her. In the end her reputation didn't matter as the elders enforced the laws at her parents request, and like it or not he had no choice but to marry the whore.

Divorce was not possible as he respected the fae laws more than the judicial ones. Loopholes and shyster lawyers might work in a court of law but not with the fae court or the elders.  He was stuck with Dahlia until death do they part and that is when he knew exactly what to do.  They were indeed going to part and death would be the reason, her death.

He picked up the phone and called a couple of his goons and gave them strict orders. He needed to send a message that no one including his wife crossed him so the news of her death needed to be very public.  He ordered them to kill her and leave her body where it would make the most headlines, Aurora Skies. Her werewolf daughter and that vampire cop were still looking for Dahlia on a number of charges including the attempted murder of a Landgraab heir. Anything that involved the Landgraab family always made headlines so he knew this would.

Pip walked over and picked up his daughter, from now on it was only going to be the two of them.  He finally had a child that he could call his own as the two bit con artist who sired her didn't know of her existence and most likely didn't care. His wife was the only other person who knew the truth and she was going to be silenced forever.

Back to Hidden Springs:

The vacation time was drawing to an end by the newlyweds were still enjoying every single minute of their special time together.  Chrissie did want to visit with her cousin one more time before they left and she asked her husband if he minded.  Of course Mickey agreed as he wouldn't refuse her anything.  She called her cousin who was more than happy for the company as Chelsea's husband had to attend a witches council meeting.

However when they arrived at Chelsea's house there was a change of plans.  An emergency meeting of the genie's guild had just been called and one that was mandatory for her to attend.  She was about to call for a sitter when Mickey and Chrissie arrived.

Chrissie: There is no need to call a sitter we don't mind staying with the baby.

Chelsea: This is your honeymoon and you shouldn't be babysitting.  Don't you have more "exciting" things to do?  That is what we did on our honeymoon and it isn't over yet.

Chrissie:  I don't mind really in fact I think I would enjoy it.  We are both teachers and we love to spend time with children.

Chelsea: If you are sure you want to than I won't call the sitter.  She's in the nursery and it’s almost time for her to fall out for the night.  The bottles are in the fridge and the diapers by the changing table.  I shouldn't be long and Neal will be home soon.  If you have any trouble just.....

Chrissie: Relax I got it covered, just go to your meeting.  We will be fine here.

Chrissie and Mickey walked into the nursery and seen the cutest little genie playing with her toys.  She had chubby cheeks and a giggle that just made you feel happier the more you heard it.

Chrissie picked her up to start playing with her just to hear that little laugh again. Mickey watched his wife and noticed she how much she loved taking care of this child and how everything just came to her naturally.

Mickey: You are really good with her.

Chrissie:  She is adorable and you know how much I love kids.  I want to ask you something love.

Mickey: Let me guess beautiful, you don't want to wait to have one of our own anymore.  This little sweetheart has convinced you of that.

Chrissie:  You always know what is on my mind.  So what do you say let's try for one now?  My parents house is big enough and we will be living in our own soon enough. Money is also not an issue either.  Would you please give it some consideration?

Mickey: We wanted a family and I do not see a reason why we should wait. I bet she will be pretty and look just like her Mom.

Chrissie: The baby could be a he who looks as handsome as his father.

Mickey:  I say we start trying right away and find out which one of us is right.

Chrissie: You know Mister we might have to try many times before we get pregnant.

Mickey: This idea is sounding better and better the more we talk about it.

Back in Aurora Skies:

A call came into the station house about a gruesome discovery, the body of a women was found and it was evident that she was beaten to death.  Sandi and Caleb were dispatched to investigate the crime scene. As soon as they arrived they both recognized the victim immediately.  It was Dahlia Goodfellow, Sandi's biological mother.

For over two years they had a warrant for Dahlia's arrest for the attempted murder of Chrissie Seaworth among other charges.  They wanted to find her alive in hopes that she would be able to give them some information on the whereabouts of Dimitri Bautista but now that would not be possible.  Dimitri and her husband Pip were already at the top of the list of suspects.

Sandi did have to take a minute as she had mixed emotions.  From the day she found out that Dahlia was her biological mother she never liked her or wanted anything to do with her. Dahlia tried to kill her Granddaughter on two occasions, and Sandi had every reason possible to hate this woman.  Yet there was something about this that made this case personal as Dahlia was the woman who gave birth to her. She was never going to mourn her, but Sandi felt as she had to do something.  Sandi decided to work on this case herself to find the murderer of the woman who gave her the gift of life.

As soon as the couple arrived home from their honeymoon they did indeed try for a baby.  They tried and tried again and each and every month it was the same test results, negative.  Chrissie  became more and more depressed with each negative result.

They had been married for four months now and they really weren't trying long and she knew that she shouldn't get depressed so easily.  She couldn't help it though as all she truly wanted was to start a family with the man she loved.  Mickey did his best to keep her spirits up as he knew it would happen she just needed to be patient.

And than one morning she took the test and screamed at the top of her lungs for her husband to come into the room.

Chrissie: Mickey its blue!  The strip is blue!  I'm sooooo pregnant!

Mickey rushes in picks her up into his arms and twirls her around as they kiss.  In just a few months they were going to pass on the gift of life to their child and the two couldn't have been more happier.

They spent the rest of the day making plans and choosing names for the new addition to their family. Morgan for a girl and Bae for a boy.

To be continued........

Authors Notes:  I do have better pictures of the two babies to share with everyone. This is a better picture of Tennille.

As you can see she looks like Dimitri.

And this is a better picture of Chelsea and Neal's daughter Catalina.

One more baby picture to share, Nick and Starr had another who will probably not be mentioned in the story.  His name is Frisco.

Chapter 73-White Lace and Promises

Planning the perfect wedding was something Hope was able to achieve on a daily basis. This was the part of her job which she loved best and she did it well.  As she walked through the wedding venue she checked to make sure every last little detail from the flowers to the food was exquisite and impeccable.  Only the best would do for this wedding as the hosts were more than just clients, they were family.

The wedding cakes arrived just in time and were baked especially by Lenora Landgraab who was the bride's Aunt.  This time she had her work cut out for her as two cakes were needed.  The first cake was white chocolate with raspberry filling and a buttercream icing and the second was the same except the filling was plasma fruit instead of raspberry.  The bride and many of the guests were vampires so two cakes were necessary.

As the guests arrived Chrissie prepared for her big day with her mother and sisters by her side.  All brides are nervous and Chrissie was no exception.  She was jumpy and the simplest of tasks seemed impossible.  Starr was prepared and she hired a hair stylist and makeup artist especially for the occasion.  Starr always knew her daughter was beautiful but today in her white gown and tiara she looked like a fairy tale princess.

Across the hall the Groom was preparing for the big day.   He was just a nervous as the bride but he didn't want to show it.  His family flew in from Isla Paradiso especially for the occasion and his sisters Rose and Donna were asked to be bridesmaids.  His mother Hawk was an Imaginary Friend like himself and his sister Donna.  His father Anders and his twin sister Rose were mermaids.

Nick walked into the room to tell the women that it was time for the ceremony to start, but his wife was still taking pictures. Starr told him they could wait as she was not finished yet.  Starr figured they couldn't start the wedding without the bride so she was going to take her time.  Its not everyday that her daughter got married and she wanted plenty of quality pictures.  Nick knew enough not to argue with his wife as it would only prolong their wait.

As Starr's camera continued to click away he looked at his daughter and she was a vision of beauty.  It felt like it was only yesterday she was the little girl who coned him into getting her a puppy dog.  Now she was a grown woman who is ready to start a family of her own. The camera clicks and flashes continued for a few more minutes until Starr was satisfied with the shots she had taken.  Starr hugged her daughter and she was able to sense that Chrissie was still a bit jittery.  She told her daughter she loved her and that she should stay calm as everything was going to be fine.  Starr looked at her daughter one more time before she went to the join their guests in the chapel.

Nick: Chrissie are you absolutely sure?  Are you having any doubts?

Chrissie:  I have never been more sure of anything in my life.

Nick: You look very nervous so I just wanted to make sure.

Chrissie: I guess I have some butterflies in my stomach, but I know I love Mickey with all my heart.

Nick: You know your old room is going to stay exactly as you left it just in case you feel you need it again.

Chrissie: Daddy I know my room will be there.  We have already decided all this.  Mickey is moving in and we are living with you and Mom until Dimitri is found.  Remember safety in numbers.

Nick: Yes I do remember but you know what I mean.  Eventually you two will get a place of your own, but you always have a home with your mother and I.

Chrissie: I know Daddy and I love both of you for that.

Nick: I guess we better get this show on the road.  Your groom is anxiously waiting for you.  And one more thing, you look beautiful.

Nick was right and the groom was anxiously waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle. Mickey stood there thinking how accepting a teaching job so far from his home changed his life.  He had so many failed relationships one right after the other and he knew he needed a change.  When he was offered this opportunity he had no idea the love of his life would be teaching in the classroom right next to his.  In just a few minutes this amazing women would walk down that aisle and they would leave this room as husband and wife.

As the ceremony begins the bridal party walks into the room, Andrea and Elton,

Aurora and Carson,

Trevor and Carissa,

Kevin and Donna,

Matt and Rose,

Taylor and Heath

and Alicia the flower girl.

When Alicia finished tossing rose petals all the way down the aisle, the crescendo changed and everyone stood up when "Here Comes the Bride" could be heard loud and clear throughout the entire room.  As soon as Mickey seen her, he was astonished at how breathtaking she looked.

As she slowly walked down the aisle escorted by her father they were greeted with smiling faces of the family and friends who agreed to attend the ceremony. Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins all arrived just to celebrate this day with the happy couple.

The bride and her father reached the end of the aisle and joined Mickey at the wedding Arch.  The ceremony was to be performed by Father Kelly of the All Sims Church.

Father Kelly: Who gives this woman to be married to this man?

Nick: Her mother and I do.

Nick places Chrissie's hand into Mickey's and then he takes his seat right next to his wife.

Father Kelly: Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to join this man Mickey Seaworth and this woman Chrysanthemum Sandra Slayer in holy matrimony.

If anyone here can show just cause why these two should not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now or forever hold your peace.

At this time the Bride's Grandfather Christopher Wolfgang Landgraab asked that he read a letter written to the couple by a man who was unable to be with us today.

Wolfie:  I was handed this letter with the specific instructions that it was to be read on my Granddaughter Chrissie's wedding day but only if the groom was Mickey Seaworth. At the time I was surprised as I did not even think the two of you were dating but I was assured that he knew this day would come and I am more than happy that it did.

Dear Chrissie and Mickey,

I am sitting here today warm in the comfort of my home while the snow is really piling up out there.  I just hung up the phone with you Chrissie and I have a confession to make to you and to Mickey.  I may be old and my memory fails me but I lied. I didn't forget to call either of you about the snow day.  I knew exactly what I was doing.  I wanted you two to spend some time together.  I guess you can say I was playing matchmaker and I am quite please with the results.

If my brother is reading this letter, it means that I am no longer here to share this day with you.  Or maybe I am.  Rest assured I am there with both of you today but in spirit. As you both know I have entrusted my afterschool program to you and ownership should have already been transfered over.  Both of you are respected educators who have the same dedication to the profession as I have and I can rest in peace knowing my legacy is in good hands.

My wish is that you have a very happy and long life together.   When you have children please tell them that they also have a guardian angel watching over them, and this angel's name is Uncle Ronny.

With love always,

Ronald Emmett Landgraab

PS to Grandma Holly-I got your message, thank you for sending it.

Father Kelly: Now the Bride and the Groom will exchange their vows.  I call upon their family and friends to witness the words that shall bind Chrysanthemum Sandra and Mickey together as they profess their love for one another.

Chrissie: When we first met we were coworkers, both of teaching at the same school. You quickly became my friend and confident and eventually you became my teacher. You taught me how to love and more importantly you taught me how it feels to have that love returned. You also taught me that a relationship is an equal partnership where you receive as much as you give. I promise to spend the rest of my life as your friend, your confident, your companion, your lover and your wife.  I love you with all of my heart and I will treasure each and every one of our days together.

I, Chrysanthemum Sandra Slayer, take you Mickey Seaworth, to be my husband,
To have and to hold from this day forward,
For better or for worse, for richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health, to love and to cherish;
From this day forward until death do us part.

With this ring I thee wed.

Mickey: For my whole life I was looking for love and I was ready to give up on ever being able to find it.  Finally I decided I should concentrate on my career instead so I took a chance and accepted a job far away from my home.  As I walked toward the school I saw you standing there and I struck me all at once that there was much more here for me than just a career.  We spent our days as colleagues and soon we became friends.  I grew accustomed to seeing your face every morning with a smile that warmed my heart.  That cold day that you showed me the proper way to make a snowman was the day I knew you were destined to be my wife.  I promise to love you, respect you and treat you like the beautiful goddess you truly are to me.

I, Mickey Seaworth, take you Chrysanthemum Sandra Slayer, to be my wife,
To have and to hold from this day forward,
For better or for worse, for richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health, to love and to cherish;
From this day forward until death do us part.

With this ring I thee wed.

Father Kelly: Now that Chrysanthemum Sandra and Mickey have professed their love and pledged their commitment to one another by the exchange of rings in front of God and the witnesses here today I now declare them husband and wife. Those whom God has joined together, let no one put asunder.

 You may kiss your bride.

Family and Friends who have gathered here today may I present to you for the very first time, Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Seaworth.

After the ceremony the celebration began with the usual wedding traditions.  The bride and the groom stepped onto the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. The newlyweds glided across the dance floor while the beautiful voice of Karen Carpenter filled the room with the song especially chosen by Chrissie and Mickey for this special moment.

♫And when the evening comes we smile,
So much of life ahead,
We'll find a place where there is room to grow,
And yes, we've just begun♫

Later on it was time for more time honored wedding traditions as the bride tossed her bouquet to all the single women in the room and the lucky girl who caught the bouquet would be the next bride.  As Chrissie looked to see where her sister Taylor was standing. Heath had not proposed to Taylor yet and Chrissie wanted to send her sister some luck.

However the wedding bouquets do have the power to find the next bride, no matter who the bouquet was aimed at.  Andrea was the girl who caught the bouquet.

The last tradition of the evening was the cutting of the wedding cake.  Starr once again stepped into her role as photographer as she would not trust these pictures to anyone else. The top layer of the cake was to be placed in a box for the couple to bring home. It is believed to be good luck for a long life together if the couple freezes the top layer to eat on their first wedding anniversary.  There was a mistake in the kitchen and the top layer of the raspberry filled cake could not be found. They did indeed have the one with the plasma fruit filling which was brought home by Starr and Nick to be frozen. Mickey and Chrissie knew he wouldn't be able to eat the cake on their first wedding anniversary but they didn't care,  It was only a superstition and they didn't need a piece of cake to predict their long life together.  They both knew in their hearts that they would.

All the guest went home as Mickey carried his bride over to the honeymoon suite.  For the first time that day he had Chrissie all to himself.  The room was exactly as he ordered with champagne, heart shaped boxes of chocolates and rose petals on top of the bed. Tomorrow they would leave on their honeymoon to Hidden Spring but tonight was special as it was their first as husband and wife.

 To be continued......

Author Note:  As the families grow we have so many family member that would normally be invited to a big wedding like this but the game doesn't allow us to have that many sims in a household even with the help of a mod.  Here is a link to the couples wedding album which does show all the guest who were in attendence.

I am breaking the rules again as Chrissie and Mickey are living in Starr and Nick's house. It is easier for me to keep them there because they will be moving out of Aurora Skies soon.  When they do they already have a house of their own waiting for them.
