Chapter 50-Jail Bait

They say magic can happen at any time and for Starr it happened on Prom Night.  That bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, the one she had been waiting for her entire life, well he had arrived.  He didn't have to say a word, she knew it was him the minute he looked at her. Running into him was no accident and this she knew for a fact, their paths were destined to cross.  How else can you explain the events that led up to this moment.

Everything started a few months ago when Sandi came home from the doctor with some very good news.  The original plan was to wait until Starr graduated high school and was in university before trying for another child.   Fate had other ideas and once again the McIntyres had another software failure.

Dylan was more than thrilled with this news, this was his second chance.  He missed out on everything with their first child.  He wasn't there to hold his wife's hand and coach her breathing while she was in labor.  He wasn't able to witness the miracle of his daughter entering this world or to hear her first cry. He couldn't help with the midnight feedings or watch her take her first steps.  He never read her a bedtime story and he couldn't have a lump in his throat or a tear in his eye as he waved to her as she walked on to the school bus for the very first time.  All those everyday little life experiences that most people take for granted were stolen from him.  He will always regret losing all of the memories that he should have had with Starr but this time he would have it all.

He was going to do one thing differently this time, he bought an ice cream maker.  No more 3 AM trips to the grocery store this time.

Next Sandi had to tell Starr, this would be difficult as no one could predict what type of mood Starr would be in that day.  Sometimes she was pleasant and others well lets just say she was moody.  Sandi knew she had to tell Starr now as her belly was growing and it wouldn't be long before Starr figured it out for herself.

Sandi: Starr we need to talk.

Starr:  If its that talk I don't need it!   Already know!

Sandi: It's not that talk but you need to hear this.

Starr: Can it wait, I have to get ready for school and shouldn't you be getting ready to drive me there?  I'm graduating pretty soon and my Mommy still has to drive me to school.  I can't believe you are still treating me like a baby.

Sandi: In a few months there will be a baby in this house but it will be your brother or sister.

Starr: Ewwww  Gross!  You and Dad still do it?  Did you have to tell me this at breakfast!

Sandi:  Is that all you have to say when I tell you that we will be expecting a new member of this family.

This is when Starr started to think, if her parents were busy taking care of a baby, maybe they wouldn't have the time to micro manage her life.  Oh yes this baby was her ticket to freedom!

Starr:  As long as I don't have to change any diapers, its kind of cool.  I think I like this kid already.

Several months had passed and Starr realized she was right about this baby.  As her mother was heavy with child she was unable to drive Starr to school and pick her up everyday.  Her father's was preoccupied with keeping Sandi comfortable and than there was always those breathing and childbirth classes they went to.  Starr already had more freedom and this kid wasn't even here yet.

Prom night arrived and as she dressed she was making plans for later on.  She wanted to go to a club, but without Spencer.  Spencer was OK for the prom because she couldn't find anyone better but she would be damned if she would go to a club with him.  He wouldn't go anyway so why even bother asking him.

The idea of calling her cousin Katherine Wood (Jules' daughter) popped into her head and than quickly popped out. She would have more fun with Spencer than Katherine.  Starr couldn't wait to leave for university but the only down side was having to share a house with her.  Everyone thought that Miss Goody Two Shoes would be a good influence on Starr, but she planned on partying whether Katherine liked it or not.

One thing she had to give Spencer credit for was renting that limo.  They were riding to the prom in style.  Now all she had to do was find a way over to the Electro Wave Dance Club after the prom was over.

This is the point where everything turned in Starr's favor.

The baby had impeccable timing!  Not even two minutes after Starr left the house Sandi's water broke, the baby was coming tonight.

Dylan was frantic with worry and couldn't think straight.

Sandi still had her police cruiser from her days on the force in Moonlight Falls and that is what she used to drive them to the hospital. Dylan was in no condition to drive, but somehow she was.

After they got to the hospital Dylan sent Starr a text message that they wouldn't be home as her mother was in labor.  Well if her parents were not home why should she, she wasn't going home anyway but now this was the perfect opportunity to get away with this.

This is when she met him, she looked into his eyes and seen everything she dreamed of.  Sure he was older than her but that didn't matter to her, she would just lie about her age anyway.  Her birthday was right around the corner, so why not go for him.  If her parents found out they couldn't ground her for too long.

He said his name was Giancarlo and it sounded sexy to her and oh boy was he hot.  She couldn't believe when he asked her to dance.

What Starr didn't know is that this man the one she thought was her dream, happened to be the same man who held her father prisoner for 12 years.

Johnny had strict orders from the boss to lay low and not to let anyone see him, but he couldn't stand to be alone anymore.  He needed to get out and he needed some female companionship for the night. That is when he spotted a gorgeous blonde in that little red dress.  All he could think of was getting back to his place and helping her out of that dress.  She did look a little young but that was ok he liked them young.  Just as he was about to make his move that is when they were interrupted.

Wolfie:  Starr what the hell are you doing over here?  You are going home with me!

Johnny: Hey why don't you go find your own chick this one is mine.  Come on babe you are going home with me.

Wolfie: This chick is jail bait!  Are you familiar with the term?  Well if not this 17 year old girl has two Uncles working for the Aurora Skies Police Department.  I'm sure one if not both would be more than happy to explain it to you.

Johnny knew he had to back off right away.  The boss didn't want him to be seen by anyone and he certainly did not want him to be arrested for statutory rape.  He would be more than pissed to not only find out his order was disobeyed but to be arrested on top of it all.

Johnny:  Hey Man thanks for letting me know, I took it for granted that she was old enough.

Wolfie:  It's fine just leave.  She shouldn't have been here tonight.

Johnny looked at this guy one more time because he knew he seen him before and than it dawned on him.  Could this night get any worse for him?   That was Wolfie Landgraab the rock star and the bosses father.  Not only was he seen, he was seen by the worst person possible.  Hopefully Denny would never find out.  Just another reason why he should have never got himself into this type of life, too late now the damage was done. He flew out of that place as fast as his wings would allow him to.

Wolfie: Ok young lady hand it over.

Starr: Hand what over?

Wolfie:  You do know that you are playing a game that I invented the rules for.  Your fake ID, hand it over now.

Starr: Are you going to tell Mom and Dad?

Wolfie: I will if you don't hand it over to me now.  As long as I know you will not be able to do this again before your birthday, I won't spoil their day.  Your mother is in the hospital giving birth to your brother or sister and I don't want to upset her.

Wolfie: Before we go home I just want to talk to you for a minute.  You are getting older and you will be able to come to places like this legally.  Promise me that you will never leave your drink unattended.  When you are not watching anyone can put anything in your drink and you will never know.  You also have to be careful when meeting men, especially men like that.  They may tell you that you are special to them and that they love you but in reality they are only out for what they can get.  Believe me, I know what I am talking about.

Starr: What if it really is love?  How can I tell the difference?

Wolfie:  That is not an easy question to answer especially for me.  Your Grandmother and I knew each other for years before I knew, but your parents fell in love at first site.  Just listen to your heart and you will know, and don't confuse woohoo for love.   Now do you promise me you'll be careful?

Starr: I promise.

Wolfie: Now lets go home.

They arrived home just in time for the good news Sandi gave birth to a baby boy who they named Robin and......

A baby girl who they named Lauren.

Now the McIntyre's really had their hands full, twins and one out of control teenager.
