Chapter 62.2-Better Late than Never

Nick received word from his father that he would be in town the next day for Trevor's birthday along with the rest of the family.  Starr's family would be at the party too and he saw this as a chance to kill two birds with one stone.  They needed to make the announcement about the baby and with both families gathered in one place this was the perfect opportunity.  The only problem was that Starr was still avoiding her parents, and it was about time that ended.  All he had to do was convince her to attend the party with him, and both could be taken care of at the same time.

When he asked Starr to attend the party with him she flat out refused.  He understood that in the beginning she needed time, but enough time has passed to heal her wounds. The Starr that he fell in love with was a fighter and she still was except when it came to facing her parents. He knew Sandi and Dylan loved her as they always tried to reach out to their daughter, but she was so stubborn she wouldn't take their calls.

Nick:  I want you to come with me to Trevor's birthday party, my father will be there and I really want you to meet him.

Starr:  I don't think it’s a good idea; I'm not ready to face my parents yet.

Nick: You can't keep yourself hidden from your family forever.

Starr:  You don't understand it's not that easy.

Nick: It is that easy because you know they are going to forgive you which is exactly the reason you don't want to see them.  You don't want to be forgiven, as you have not forgiven yourself yet.  Don't you think its time to finally put this to rest?

This is very important to me as my father is flying in and I want him to meet the woman who I love and the mother of my child.  I'll stay by your side the entire time; please will you do this for me?

Starr was stubborn and wouldn't even consider going to the party, but she kept thinking of the look on Nick's face and she knew she let him down.  He was the one person she never disappointed until today.  Nick stood by her during the darkest period of her life and he never let her down not even once.  He asked so little from her and yet here she was stepping right back into her old ways.

She decided that she was not going to be that person again and she was never going to disappoint Nick, her parents or her child.  It was time for her to face her music and leave all of this behind her.  She got up and left for the party.  Yes she would be late, but its better late than never.

Meanwhile at Caleb and Hope's:

Forever the workaholic, Caleb was discussing the kidnapping case with Sandi and Jules. After hearing about Katherine's dealings with Denny, he had a gut feeling which made him investigate a little further. The fairy that kidnapped his brother had white wings according to witnesses but one witness Cora Borealis, heard the voice of the fairy, and could not identify Johnny's voice.

Caleb went to visit Cora and played a recording of Denny's voice which she identified immediately.  He now knew who the kidnapper really was but didn't want to get Cora involved.  They already had to put Katherine in hiding, there was no way he would risk the safety of an innocent civilian.

The three decided to set up 24 hour surveillance on Denny but that would have to wait as family was already arriving.

Davis and Cora flew in from Barnacle Bay but this time they did not come alone.

Hope's Grandfather also came in for the birthday party and Trevor met his Great Grandfather for the first time.

Later that evening there was a big birthday party and both sides of Trevors family arrived to see him blow out the candles.

Presents were always expected when his grandparents came to visit and they never disappointed him.  It might have been a little box but he knew it had to be something really good.  The box only had keys in it........

keys to his new car.  Hope and Caleb complained yet again about the spoiling but it all fell on deaf ears.  Davis wanted his Grandson to have the absolute best and Trevor was loving every minute of it.

The biggest surprise of the evening was just about to happen.

Nick decided it was not a very good idea to make this announcement to Starr's family without her being present.  However he did want to take his father aside so he could give him the news in person.

As he told his father the good news, much to everyone surprise including Nick's, Starr walked through the door.

Sandi and Dylan immediately ran to the daughter who they had been worried about for months.  They knew she needed time to deal with the traumatic experience on her own, but the longed for this day to come.

Sandi:  Starr are you ok?  Let me look at you sweetie.

Dylan:  You had us very worried.

Starr:   Mom, Dad I'm so sorry

Dylan:  There is nothing to be sorry for.  You mother and I love you and you could never do anything that would change that.

Sandi:  Starr are you?

Dylan:  Its not.......

Starr:   No Daddy its not.  The baby is Nick's.  We have been seeing each other for quite some time now and he has moved in with me.  If it wasn't for Nick's support I don't know how I would have survived these past few months.

Dylan:  Well Angel I guess we are going to be Grandparents.

For the rest of the night the family spent the time celebrating and preparing for some happy days ahead of them.  Tyrone and Lenora's wedding was being planned and there was a new baby on the way.

Nick: I know how hard this was for you and it really means so much to me that you did show up.  Thank you.

Starr:  I had to.  I don't want to be that selfish person anymore.  I want to be better for you, the baby and most of all for myself.

Nick:  You already are.

For the next few months, Starr and Nick took Lamaze classes and redecorated the nursery. Everything in pink as the ultrasound revealed that the baby was a girl.  Nick was already referring to her as his little princess and nothing was too good for his little girl. Names was something they debated on but as usual Starr got her way as she wanted the baby to be named after her Grandfather Wolfie, whose first name was Christopher and her mother. Chrysanthemum Sandra Slayer would be her name but Nick suggested they call her Chrissie for short.

All the classes they attended seemed not to do any good as Nick freaked out when Starr went into labor.  Somehow he managed to get her to the hospital and.....

 A little vampire was born.

Chapter 45-Captivity

This chapter was originally posted on 7/6/14

Dylan was being held captive in the Alto house in Lunar Lakes.  His warden was a fairy named Johnny DeVito.  When Johnny accepted the job he knew he was dealing with organized crime but he didn't know what he was getting himself into.  He thought he would be the caretaker of the Alto's unstable cousin who needed to be watched for his own safety.  Later on he found out he was misled and that he was now an accessory to a kidnapping.  He knew he was stuck between a rock and a hard place.  The people he worked for were not to be double crossed so he couldn't go to the police, however he felt guilty for the pain this man and his family was going through.  He was promised from his boss that he would not have to harm Dylan in any way and when the time was right Dylan would be let go.  He tried to make Dylan's captivity as comfortable as possible and he hoped that someday both of them could walk away free from this jail.  Johnny was as much of a prisoner as Dylan was, the only difference is that it was Johnny's choice to be here but Dylan had no choices.

Dylan: You said I would be home by now.

Johnny:  that is what I have been told, but so far I haven't had orders to release you.

Dylan: Than just let me go.  I have a wife and a child at home that needs me.

Johnny: If I do that I'll be just as dead as you, along with your wife and kid.  I have already been through this with the boss, there is a reason that you are still alive and if we cooperate you will stay that way.

Dylan: Could you at least find out how my family is doing?

Johnny: I'll see what I can do but no promises.

Meanwhile back at Moonlight Falls the investigation continues:

The private eye's at Jackal and Bat investigations were working hard on both of these cases.  The next step for Sandi was to interview Aurora's daughter Cora Borealis.

Sandi: Hi Cora, I'm hoping you remember me

Cora: I do remember you, the last time I seen you was at your parents wedding.

Sandi: I was hoping you could answer some questions to help me find my husband.
The night he was kidnapped you were at the grocery store with your mother at the same time Dylan was, do you remember anything unusual about that night?

Cora: Normally I wouldn't remember that far back I thought it strange that when I reported this to the police, no one took a formal statement.  They also gave me a hard time, it was almost as if they did not want to hear anything I had to say.

Sandi: Well I am very interested to hear anything about this case especially if it brings my husband home.

Cora: I can relate so I would be happy to help.  I seen two sims dressed in black follow Dylan around the store.  I only seen them from the back so I never seen their faces but one of them was a fairy with white wings.

Sandi: Could you tell me if they were male or female?

Cora:  The fairy was male. I heard him talk and I know that was a man's voice.  I get the feeling the other one was a female but I'm not sure.

Sandi:  Do you remember what the fairy said?

Cora:  Yes he said that Brandon will pay, if they completed the job.  I'm guessing he meant Brandon Alto.

Sandi: and you don't remember anything at all about the other?

Cora: No I'm sorry I do not.  I wish I could be of more help.

Sandi: You have been a lot of help, the fairy is a lead I could work on.  Just give me a call if you remember anything else.

Meanwhile at the Alto House:

Caleb's job was to stakeout and if possible search the Alto house.  When he seen that both Brandon and Bradly left the house, he disabled the alarm and broke into the house.

Caleb searched high and low throughout the entire house and did not find anything incriminating against Brandon.

Caleb had nothing until he found  Brandon's computer.  He found all of Brandon's confidential business files on his illegal activities.  Everything was on this lap top including his legitimate businesses that he used to launder money, his associates, his safe houses and any information he gathered from other families.

Caleb made copies of all the files on this computer.  They may not be able to use this as evidence due to the fact this was an illegal search but this information just made their job a little easier.

Back at the house:

Brandon decided he was tired of waiting and he didn't care what his lawyers said.  He broke into the McIntyre house with every intention of bring Sandi home with him.

Brandon: I'm through playing games Sandi, you are coming with me.

Sandi: I don't think so

Chapter 26.3-Knight Rider

This chapter was originally posted on 4/26/14

Wolfie had his fair share of confrontations with angry boyfriends and husbands in his day and he usually shrugged it off after they spoke their piece.   This confrontation would be different as Wolfie not only woohooed this man's wife but he also impregnated her with twins. He was at a loss for words because how do you apologize for something like this?  He knew he had to say something but the situation was awkward and he could not find the right words.

Wolfie: I really don't know what to say except that I know you have a right to be angry and that I am sorry.  I'm not proud of my past but I am a different person now.

Pip: Relax Wolfie, I'm not without sin myself so I cannot cast any stones.  That is not what I am here for, I do need to talk to you about Denny.  We told him the truth last night and to say he is not taking it well would be an understatement.

Wolfie: Sandi was not too thrilled with the news either, she had her heart set on Abby adopting her someday.

Pip: I'm sure my wife has already told you about the strict code of honor the Fae hold us to which both my wife and I have broken in the worst possible way.  I decided to take a job in Sim York City and get out of dodge before the word gets out.  We will be taking Denny with us.

I know this might be too much to ask but would you consider signing your parental rights to me?  Dahlia and I feel this is in Denny's best interest since I raised him and we have already bonded as father and son.  In turn Dahlia will sign her parental right to Sandi over to the woman that Sandi has bonded with, Abby.

Wolfie: I really do not like signing my rights over to a child I didn't know I had until now but you did come forward and to help me keep Sandi away from the Altos.  There is no reason to upset these children more than they have been so I will agree. If you will excuse me I have some important business to attend to right now.

Wolfie screams upstairs to Jules who was trying to relax a bit after a long night of work.

Wolfie: Come on Jules, let’s get this show on the road and yes you have to wear the costume.

A little while later at Abby's house:

Cora: It's about time you guys got here, Daisy and I were running out of excuses to keep her from leaving.

Jules: Can you ask her to come out?  I'm dying to get out of this costume.

Cora: I'll go get her

Cora: Abby there is some guy with blue hair at the door asking for you.

Abby: Oh that must be Jules.  Well at least I get to say goodbye to him.

Jules: Abby?  What did you do to yourself?

Abby: I think the question is what in the world are you wearing?

Jules: Oh yes this.  Wolfie made me wear this.  Ok let me get this over with.

Abby: What the hell is going on here?

Jules: Fair Maiden Abigail Cardona may I present to you Sir Christopher Wolfgang Landgraab of Moonlight Falls.

Abby: Wolfie have you gone crazy?

Wolfie: Abby don't you get it?  It's your dream come true.  The White Knight on his steed has arrived to sweep you off your feet.

Wolfie: I can't stop looking at you.  You were always beautiful to me but tonight you are taking my breath away.

Wolfie: Abby will you please come back home with me?  I have a surprise for you there.

Abby: Well I was getting ready to leave town.

Wolfie: Will you give me a chance to change your mind?

Abby: I think I can delay my plans a little longer.

Wolfie: Your chariot awaits.

Abby: What happened to the hedges?  They were just here yesterday.

Wolfie: its part of your surprise.  I replaced them with the white picket fence from your dream.

Abby: How did you do this so fast?

Wolfie: I worked on it all last night with a little help from Jules. There is more.  The next part of the dream, the 2.5 kids well you have one already.  Dahlia signed her rights to Sandi over to you, once you sign the papers you are legally her mother.

Abby: I'm her mother, she's mine.

Wolfie: She's ours, she always has been.  I owe you an apology, I should have never yelled and broke up with you.  I should have understood, please forgive me for the other night.

Abby: You were right, I should have trusted you and told you the truth long before now.

Wolfie: At one time my biggest fear in life was relationships and falling in love, but then I met you and everything changed.  Now my biggest fear is you leaving and me having to live a life without you in it.

Which bring me to the last part of your dream, the husband.  I would like that to be me, if you will have me.

Wolfie: Abigail Cardona, will you be my bride?
