Chapter 62.3-Don Denny's Demise

Denny arrived at Wolfie's house with the intentions of giving his father a choice that he thought would be fairly simple.  His father could grant Valerie permission to sell her shares or a silver bullet in the head, the choice was his.  No matter which choice Wolfie made, Denny would walk out of there satisfied.

Jules watched as Denny entered Wolfie's house as 24 hour surveillance had been set up on him.   Caleb, Sandi or Jules knew every single move that Denny made and they were waiting patiently for him to slip up.

Jules called Caleb and Sandi and told them to get there ASAP.

Denny:  I think we have some unfinished business to discuss, it would be wise if you reconsidered your decision and gave my sister permission to sell her shares.

Wolfie: I have already made my decision so we have nothing further to discuss on the matter.

Denny:  I think we still do, "Dad"   I'm accustomed to getting my way and I do not like when people make it difficult.  When this happens I have no other choice but to deal with the problem myself.  We can make a friendly deal or we can use other methods that might be a little messy but necessary.

Wolfie: When you say "other methods" do you mean the same method you used with Starr?  What a man you are beating on a girl after you make sure she cannot defend herself.  Oh wait a minute you didn't even do that, you had one of your goons do it for you.  No I'm not making a deal with you and if you feel the need to deal with the problem, bring it on!  Be a man and try to do it yourself this time.

Denny:  I intend to deal with the problem myself, but do you really think I'm that stupid that I would even try to overpower you? You're not only a werewolf but leader of the pack, an alpha wolf.   I know you would over power me in a heartbeat. That is why I brought this and yes it’s loaded with silver bullets. Now you either give your permission to Valerie or I place one of these babies in your head, and I will not stop there.  When your lovely wife and little Eddie arrive home I have one for each of them too.

Jules was listening to the whole exchange but when he seen Denny draw the gun he knew he couldn't wait any longer for backup.  Wolfie was in trouble and he had no choice but to go in and handle this on his own.  Caleb and Sandi were on their way and would be there in the matter of minutes.

Jules: POLICE!  Drop the gun Denny!

Denny pays no attention to Jules as he has been waiting for this moment for a very long time.  He looked at his father with pure hatred and he pulled the trigger.  Jules ran at lightning speed to knock Wolfie out of the line of fire and ended up taking the bullet himself.

Wolfie:  NO JULES!  NO!

When Sandi arrives in the room next and sees that Jules has been shot. She tries to radio that an officer is down but reaches for her gun instead.

Wolfie:  Get out Sandi he has silver bullets loaded.

Denny: Oh how fatherly of you, always picking the wolf girl over me.  Well it looks as if I can take care of both of you now.

Denny picks up his gun and aims it at his sister as Sandi aims her gun in Denny's direction.  While Wolfie is pleading for Sandi's life a gunshot is heard.

Caleb was right behind Sandi and the minute he seen Denny pointing that gun in Sandi's direction, he shot to kill without a second thought.

Caleb: Police.  Drop your weapon.  Oh I guess I was supposed to say that before I shot the bastard.

Wolfie: I was under the impression that you did.

Sandi: So was I.

Wolfie: Sometimes even the good guys have to work outside of the law, especially if the ends justify the means.  He would have killed both of us if you didn't.

Caleb checked Denny but Sandi already knew her twin was dead.  They never really did have that psychic twin thing everyone talks about but she always did find him and she did sense that he was gone.

Jules was wearing a bullet proof vest specifically designed to protect werewolves from silver bullets. He was only knocked out by the force of the bullet and was perfectly fine.

Later that day:

A search warrant for Denny's house was issued and they had enough evidence to arrest his wife Gretchen who was his partner in crime.

As Sandi searched the house she came across a nursery and she found a baby in the crib and a very scared little red headed boy who was named Carson.

Sandi:  I know that you are scared but I am you Aunt Sandi, your Dad's twin and you are going to be safe.

Carson:  Why are the police taking my Mommy away?  Why isn't my Daddy here?

Sandi:  Your Mom is going to be fine but she is going to be away for a little while, we will talk about your Dad later.  I am going to bring you to Grandpa's house so your family will take good care of you and your brother.  I just need to ask you a couple of questions. What is the baby's name and where are your older sister and brother?

Carson:  His name is Brooks and Cody and Wayne are away at school.  Dad said they had to go there because they couldn't do anything right and needed to learn.  I can't go to learn the stuff Daddy wants to teach because I don't have wings.  He is going to teach Brooks someday.

Sandi:  What is the name of the school?

Carson:  Mom and Dad called it Juvie.

Sandi didn't know what else to do but bring the children over to her father's house, no matter what crimes the parents committed these children were family and they were innocent.

Wolfie and Abby decided to petition the court for guardianship of all four.  Cody and Wayne would have to stay at juvenile hall until their Young Adult birthdays but they still needed a guardian.  Carson and Brooks needed a good home to grow up in and Wolfie decided that he would be the one to provide that as he should have done with Denny when he was a child.

Meanwhile back in Moonlight Falls:

Pip and Dahlia learn the news about Denny's death and are not pleased with Wolfie and Sandi's involvement.

Dahlia made plans to leave for Aurora Skies immediately.  It was time for a mother and daughter reunion.

Chapter 62.1-Legends never die

It shouldn't have surprised Starr that Nick brought up the subject of their relationship status again. They spent almost all their time together as each and every day they grew closer and closer.  Nick did tell her he would understand and agree if she wanted to keep the status quo which meant she could date others but so could he.  The minute she thought about Nick dating another woman, she knew she would want to scratch the girl’s eyes out. No he couldn't date anyone else that was unacceptable.  Starr agreed and for the first time in her life, she had a boyfriend.  A boyfriend used to be something that other girls had and Starr considered them fair game.  Heaven help the girl who considered Nick to be fair game as she would definitely feel Starr's wrath.

She requested local assignments at the newspaper as didn't feel the need to go jetsetting anymore. Starr had changed inside as she started to mellow out but there were still occasions when the party girl wanted to come out to play.  She couldn't believe how much she actually looked forward to quiet nights at home with Nick.   They usually just talked or watched some movies, but no matter what they did those quiet nights always seemed to end in the bedroom

Starr loved to watch her reality tv shows but Nick was not a big fan of them, however their relationship was based on compromise if Starr wanted something, Nick agreed to compromise.   He really didn't mind watching her reality programs as Sunset Valley Idol or Dancing with the Sims was fine with him but he did draw the line at those Simdashians.

Whenever The One was on she had her eyes glued to the set especially when the next season featured another Uncle of hers. This time it was Uncle Tyrone with Lenora and he was the lucky winner.  She guessed there would be another wedding soon, which meant facing her family something she was not ready to do yet.  Nick did bring a new balance to her life and now all she needed was to forgive herself and come to terms with her family.

One day Starr started feeling queasy and she thought she ate some raw meat that didn't agree with her, but the next day it happened again.  She called Spencer because she thought for sure this was a stomach virus that she couldn't shake, but she never expected him to congratulate her. He told her that she was pregnant and he referred her to an OB/GYN friend of his.

This really shook her world.  How on earth was she going to be anyone's mother? Look what she did to the family she already had, the way she was so cruel and she betrayed them. She should never be anyone's mother but yet here she was pregnant with Nick's child.  She decided to tell Nick as soon as he arrived.

Nick was ecstatic about the baby and he immediately asked Starr to marry him.  He really did love her and he wanted them to be a family, but Starr was still unsure of herself.  She did offer him a compromise and asked him to move in with her.  She felt he had to right to live with his child and she considered it best for the child not to left alone with her.  He agreed to move in but he hoped that one day she would reconsider and agree to become his wife.

 Meanwhile at Denny's:

Wolfie decided to take action and let his "son" know that there was no way in hell that he would ever be allowed to buy Valerie's shares and take over Landgraab Industries.

Wolfie:  I think we need to have a word.  If you are looking to take over my company, forget it that won't happen.  Your sister can not sell her shares unless I give her permission, which she doesn't have.

Denny:  Eventually I will own Landgraab Industries as that is my birthright.  The wolf children are always favored while the fairy boy is out in the cold once again.  This time the fairy boy is going to win.

Wolfie: What in the world are you talking about?

Denny: You signed your parental rights away; legally I'm not even your son. You tossed me out of your life and kept all your werewolf children.  They all grew up in the lap of luxury wanting for nothing.  I had take matters into my own hands and work for everything I have.  I'm a made man, a man of honor and I am proud of it.

Wolfie:  I signed my rights away because I thought that was in your best interest.  You already knew Pip as your father and no matter how much it hurt; I didn't want to destroy any relationship you had with him.  Just because I signed my rights away didn't mean I forgot you.  Every request for money was sent, I provided for you financially.  I tried to call several times and I asked to visit but I was told you didn't want anything to do with me.  You never contacted me either during all those years so I respected what I thought were your wishes.  When Sandi ran into you I welcomed you with open arms into this family as I always wanted to do.  Never knowing what type of man you really were. You stand there and tell me that you are proud of being a criminal, a wise guy and you think it’s honorable.  You ordered a hit on your niece, your twin sister's daughter, and this is honorable!  My biggest regret is believing the lies that Pip and Dahlia told me, I should have never trusted them.

Denny:  Bravo Dad!  Encore!  Encore!  Guess you took some acting lessons to go along with the music.  Do you think I believe one word you said?  Right from the start you chose Sandi over me I mean you had to know there were two babies, isn't that right? Oh forgive me, how could you know that when you slept with anything in a skirt?  Go ahead and talk about honor now "Dad” I read all the tabloid stories, you made pretty good headlines there didn't you?

Well Dad I'm afraid you are not going to win this one, you see Valerie and I will outlive you and when you are burning in hell she will sell me her shares.  I will take over the company and I will be in charge.  Don't worry I'm a patient man, I can wait.

Wolfie:  Well that is where you are wrong son!  You go ahead and wait for me to die. You will see I'm not going anywhere, I'm not dying.  I'm a legend and legends never die

.
Wolfie walked away truly disappointed and blamed himself for the horrible person Denny was.  He should have fought for full custody and raised Denny himself.  What kind of parents were Pip and Dahlia, they were the ones who tossed Sandi away. Denny, Valerie and Katherine  all forced his hands into making a deal as he was indeed telling the truth; he and his wife Abigail were now among the immortals. How he achieved this no one knows for sure, it’s still a mystery.

Some people say that he challenged the Reaper Man himself to a guitar duel and won his immortality.

Others say that Kai the Great Alpha Wolf blessed Wolfie and Abigail with gift of immortality.

The most popular belief is that he received a little help from a friend who had ties to a secret society.  No matter what the real story is Wolfie was simply not going to die, which threw a monkey wrench into Denny's evil plan.

Denny:  We will see Dad.  We will see.  How long do you think you will live after I place a silver bullet in your head?

Chapter 61.1-A Fallen Starr

Whatever job the boss had in mind Johnny knew it had to be important.   The boss never took needless risks and was a master at covering his tracks. The warlock who Johnny held captive lived in Aurora Skies and could identify him, so Johnny knew he had to be careful.  If Johnny was recognized he would be taking the fall for the kidnapping as he knew that testifying against the boss would be suicidal.   Even from prison Denny's reach was long and Johnny knew he had to remain loyal if he wanted to stay alive. The only thing Johnny never expected was to literally be thrown to the wolves.

Denny: You remember my neice, Starr?

Johnny: Who could forget a hot number like that?  You told me to stay away from her.

Denny:  That was then, this is now.  She owns shares of Landgraab Industries and it is vital to my operation to purchase those shares from her.  I would like you to convince her to sell those shares to me and I don't care how you have to do it.  Use whatever method of convincing you need to and don't let the fact that she is my neice stop you.

Johnny:  I'll just have to turn on the ole charm that should get her to agree.

Denny: Don't even think about coming back here empty handed.

Johnny: No worries boss I'll have that bitch eating right out of my hands.  There is no woman alive who can resist my charms and if she does, she will regret it.

Johnny could have just called her but in this case he wanted the element of surprise so all he had to do was arrange a chance meeting.  Finding a way to run into Starr accidentally was easy as pie all the tabloids kept track of the party girl Landgraab heiress.  All he had to do was hang out in one of the dance club around town as she would eventually show up.  However there was a problem the first time he did find her, she was not alone.

She had some vampire with her and they seemed very close.  Well this would not do, there was no way he could romance her with that guy hanging around.  He had to find a way to get her alone, so he decided to bide his time and wait for another opportunity.

A week later Johnny had the opportunity he was waiting for as Starr was out clubbing again but this time no vampire.  Starr and Nick were indeed dating on and off but they were not exclusive.  Starr was not ready to give up her lifestyle yet and Nick had a regular 9 to 5 job so he couldn't go out club hopping as often as she wanted to.   They decided they take things slow as they got to know each other better and by mutual agreement they would date others.

Johnny: Hey there pretty lady?

Starr: Giancarlo, what brings you back to Aurora Skies?

Johnny:  Decided to come home and what a homecoming it is.

Starr:  Welcome home I hope you enjoy your stay.  Now if you will excuse me.....

Johnny: What is the rush pretty lady, we had fun before we can have fun again.

Johnny: Let me buy you a drink?  Maybe a little dancing?

When she met Giancarlo on prom night he seemed like her dream.  A dream that she grew out of after living it out in Egypt.  At the time that dream had her rethinking her life but now she knew what she had with Giancarlo was only a fling.   She still was still tempted by him as she couldn't resist taking another walk on the wild side with guy who came from the other side of the tracks.  Maybe a little dancing and a couple of drinks couldn't hurt but he wasn't getting an invitation into her bedroom tonight.  What she didn't know was woohoo was not an issue tonight, he was after a different prize.

They did indeed have a wonderful time they had a few drinks and indulged in some bubbles, but most of all they danced until the club was ready to close.

Against her better judgement she ignored her sixth sense once again telling her to stay away from this man.  Grandpa Wolfie told her a sixth sense was a gift to all wolves and that it would help her avoid all dangerous situations.  She thought she was fine because if she was in real danger the wolf would come out and she would be able to protect herself.

Johnny: It's getting late pretty lady, maybe I should take you home.

She was a little high, super juiced and in no way, shape or form to drive. Something told her to call a cab, but again she ignored it.

They went back to her house and Johnny decided to go straight for business as soon as possible.  He really did hope she would cooperate because it would be a shame to mess up that sexy ass.

Johnny: I was actually looking for you tonight as a friend asked me to do a favor.  Do you have any shares in your Grandfather's company?  A friend would like to purchase them and he will pay any price that you ask.

Starr:  I'm sorry but my shares are not for sale.  What do you think keeps me in the lifestyle I have grown accustomed to?

What Johnny didn't know was not only did Starr not want to sell her shares, she couldn't without Grandpa Wolfie's approval.  Only Landgraab family heirs knew that Wolfie had to approve all stock sales as Chris' will was designed to keep the Landgraab family in control of 51% of the stock.  There was no way on Earth Grandpa Wolfie would ever give permission.

Starr:  My family stocks are not for sale, end of discussion.

That answer was totally unacceptable to Johnny no woman ever says no to Johnny Devito, not for business or anything else.  He fully intended to get those shares even if he had to kill her to do it.

Johnny: You know what I can make a mean Margarita, how about if we have just have one more before I go home.  I promise you won't regret it.

Johnny asked her to see if she had any lime juice in the kitchen as he started to prepare a special drink just for Starr.  She wasn't cooperating and he knew he needed to use other methods to get her to agree.  Johnny wasn't stupid as he knew werewolves had brute strength, no one could beat them in a fight.  He couldn't take down even a female werewolf and he had to work this one over, unless of course she changed her mind.  He laced the drink with a drug commonly used for date rapes but tonight he was using it to make sure, she didn't turn into a werewolf.

When she came back with the lime juice, he finished making the drinks which she finished in no time.  He knew he it wouldn't be long for the drug to take affect so he kept her talking until she fell right off of the barstool.

Starr tried to get up but her knee's buckled and she was falling down again.  The room was practically spinning and she was nauseous.  She knew she had a lot to drink tonight but not enough to make her this sick, something was wrong and she was beginning to feel faint.  It was than she felt the urge to let the wolf out but she didn't have the strength inside of her to do so.  Now she knew she was in real danger.

Starr:  I think you should leave, I'm starting to feel a bit ill.

Johnny:  I'm going to ask you one more time and you better come up with the right answer this time. Are you going to sell those shares.

Starr: No you don't understand  I...I...I can't?

Johnny: Wrong answer!

To be continued.....
