Chapter 1-Meeting the Ladies

Authors Note: The ladies were all brought into the house through master controller now that I have more than 7 of them.  I let him meet the ladies in the order in which they entered the house as they were all over Monte Vista.  In this update I had to make him chat with every one of them and there is the only interaction I clicked on, everything else was  autonomous. Also I noticed that some of the witches are casting spells on him autonomously, usually good luck charms.  Even if its a love charm as long as its autonomous its allowed.

How in the world did I let myself get into this?  That was the only question on my mind as I walked into the resort where this bad reality TV show was supposed to begin.  I know my brother meant well but did he really think this was a good idea.  Did he really think I would find true love among the women chosen by the producers, The Going Solo Community Production Co?  And I still do not know why I agreed.

Well I do know why I agreed, I didn't want to run into my ex-wife as she waddled around carrying another man's child.  That should have been my baby she was carrying but obviously she had other ideas.  I knew I didn't want her back under any condition but that didn't make seeing her in her heavy with child any less painful.  I needed to get out of town and away from the there for a while.  Maybe this wasn't the answer but I wanted to leave immediately and these plans were already made.

Being the only man in a houseful of women fighting over me would appeal to most men, but I am not most men.  I just want to find a woman like my sister-in-law Sandi, someone who loved me unconditionally that I could settle down with and start a family.  I highly doubted she would walk through that door, but I will try to make the best of this.

I went to my room as the ladies were not to arrive for another hour.  To kill time I read the itinerary the producers left for me.  The ladies were to be greeted in the order as their arrival.  I was to start a conversation with each and every one of them and on the forth day I would have to ask one of them to leave.  Not going to be easy to disappoint a lady but these were the rules.

I went through the rest of the days plans until I came to the last, it said that I should woohoo with the winner!  How dare they think I would just woohoo with anyone.  I'm sure most men would jump at this chance but that is not me.  I won't woohoo with just any lady, I would have to be in love and I doubt I would find love over here.

That is the door first one is here so I guess I should go greet her.

I had pictures and the names of all of these women and I noticed the pretty little fairy walking in as Crystal Light.  A Friendly Fairy who loved to read romance novels as any Hopeless Romantic would. You could tell by the way she walked in that she had Star Quality as her bio said she was a Virtuoso who was a Natural Born Performer.

The next one was Cody Moore-Arroyo.  Her bio did say she was a little Neurotic and for some strange reason she never is nude, but she also likes the outdoors, she is artistic and dramatic.  Liking the outdoors would be nice for camping trip and I'm sure Aurora Skies will give her many sites for painting.

Kazzata Cashingal who was a perceptive, neurotic, frugal vegetarian and she was also a vehicle enthusiast.  She is perceptive, she would be a great addition to Jackal and Bat Investigations if she were to come home with me.

Right behind her was Peyton Yavari and when I read her bio I knew she get along pretty nicely with my niece Starr.  This Evil and Dramatic Diva is Artistic with a Photographer's Eye.  I could easily see her get along nicely with Starr, comparing photos and it would be nice to have my niece visiting more often.

Vixen Wood was the next to arrive.  She is listed as An Excitable and Ambitious Angler who is also Good and Family Oriented.  Obviously a good woman who wants to start a family might be a good choice and if she is ambitious she may be more understanding of my work hours.

Hope Gruber was next (sorry didn't get the shot of her walking through the door, thought I did) She is an Eccentric Diva who is a heavy sleeper and flirty with a good sense of humor.  Her bio states that her father is a vampire, so she is already used to living with one.

Us Vampires are not too fond of sunlight so a Night Owl does sound perfect for me and that is exactly what Rebecca Lee Ann Abbott is. She is also Good and Easily Impressed but Brave and Athletic.

The next lucky lady is a natural cook but I tend to find my own nourishment, however children might be another story so this quality could come in handy.  She is also a virtuoso and a genius with a good sense of humor.

Siobhan De La Rosa was the next lovely lady to walk through the door, although she is a diva, she has quite a few good qualities also she loves animals which would come in handy with all the wolves in my family.  She is friendly, charismatic and artistic.  She will fit in perfectly with us.

I made sure to introduce myself and get to know each and every one of these ladies.  I started with Crystal first and went down the list.

I never thought I would get into this but some of these ladies are going to be too difficult to resist the urge to flirt with a little.  Maybe this would work out fine.

Cody wanted to talk politics which I tried to stay away from but we see eye to eye on everything so no harm done.

And she is kind of cute too.

The topics of Politics came up again with Kazzata and it still turned out find.

 I found myself getting lost in her exotic beauty.

But all she could do was complain about the dirty dishes.

I still tried to brighten her day

Which turned out fine in the end.

I tried talking about music with Peyton, she is such a pretty blonde but....

However things did not go so well

Lets just say things went from bad to worse.

With Vixen I tried to stay away from politics and obviously music is not a good topic either.  We talked about the sunshine instead.

She does indeed have a sunny smile I could get used to and she seems to remind me of someone, not sure who yet but something tells me I should.

Hope was the next one I needed to talk to and I found her and Kazzata not getting along too well.  I stopped this from going any further and hopefully this will be the last time anything like this would happen.

Hope seems like a nice lady and I told her all about my sweet & precious little niece Starr who is still the apple of my eye.

She started flirting with me right away

and things were going very well until....

for some reason she pulled back.

I did try one more time and she was more receptive this time.

I talked about movies to Rebecca but

she seems to think I need to exercise more.  Not sure if she realizes this yet, I do work out a little.

I think she took a second look and realized it.

And things turned out better this time.

Lenora wanted to talk about food.  I guess a natural cook would.

I don't think she took it too well when I told her my favorite was O positive.

I still had one more lady to talk to but Hope came back to talk about movies.

and much more.  Looks like Hope is pretty damn interested.

Last but certainly not least there is Siobhan, we talked about computers a bit.

but she changed the subject really quick.

And than we talked about fashion.  I think she might be high maintenance but that might be something that can be arranged.

Phone rang and it was my brother.  "Yes bro I'm doing fine and you know what this wasn't such a bad idea.  These ladies are pretty nice, maybe this idea will work out just fine after all"

Prologue-Let's do this.

Sometimes happy endings are just not meant to be.  Caleb liked to work long hours and obviously that was a mistake, because that was the excuse Valerie used to the end of their marriage.   She said she was tired of all the time she spent home alone and that she wanted a man that would pay more attention to her.  Caleb promised to reduce his work hours but she told him that it was too late, that she was in love with Stein Svard.

Caleb: I can't believe what I just heard, you cheated on me with Stein Svard, and now you are trying to blame my job as the reason.

Valerie:  You were never home did you expect me just to sit around and wait for you.

Caleb:  I expected you to honor our wedding vows and I expected you to be faithful to me.  If my work hours were really the reason, why is this the first time I am hearing about this.

Valerie:  Because you were never home and when you did come home all you did was bother me for a family, like I was some kind of baby machine.

Caleb: So now you are telling me you don't want to have a family either?  Is that why you are a wolf all the time?  Using it as some kind of birth control? 

Valerie: I do want a family but not with you.  I'm a wolf all the time because I'm not happy and I want a divorce.

Caleb:  Was I a fool to ever believe you could be half the woman your sister Sandi is.  Just get out of here, before I say or do something I regret.

Valerie walked out of his life as quickly as she walked in and that was the end of their marriage.     Unfortunately his brother was married to her sister. He would still have to  still have to see her on holidays and family events with her new boyfriend.  How he was going to handle that, he didn't know but somehow he was going to have to.  In fact it might have been as early as the next day, Dylan and Sandi were having a pool party which he promised he would attend, but most likely she would be there hopefully not with him.

Caleb had enough of women, it started with his mother who abandoned him for her boyfriend when he was a child and now his wife left him for another man.  He wouldn't think about it any more tonight, he was going to try and get some rest if that was possible.  First thing in the morning he would call his lawyer and than he would see if he could increase his work hours or maybe start working as a Private Eye again with Sandi.  He wasn't sure yet but the one thing he was sure of, he was through with women.

Luckily Valerie decided not to attend the party, but Caleb still had to tell his brother what had happened.  He really didn't want to go over the whole story again but everyone was asking him where Valerie was.  He thought it best just to tell his brother to let him handle the questions as he had no desire to.

Dylan: She did WHAT?  I am so sorry bro, if there is anything I can do just let me know.

Caleb: Handle all the questions for me, I don't want to discuss this anymore.

Dylan: Not a problem I will take care of that for you.  I don't want you living alone in that house anymore.  Starr is at University, why don't you move back in here.

Caleb: No that is ok, I will stay in my own house, but thank you for the offer.  I'll be ok.

Dylan:  If you want to talk or reconsider the offer just let me know.

Caleb:  I'll be fine bro.

But Caleb was not fine, in fact he was miserable.  And just when he thought things couldn't get any worse they did.

Dylan: We need to talk and I think you better sit down.

Caleb: Sit down for what?  Nothing is wrong with Sandi or the kids?

Dylan: There is something you need to know and I prefer you hear it from me instead of finding out on your own.  It's about Valerie.

Caleb: I don't want to talk about her.

Dylan:  You were not the only man she cheated on.  Stein broke up with her last night.

Caleb:  She cheated on him too, she has another one.  What was she doing taking Zoe Durwood lessons?

Dylan:  There is more.

Caleb: How much more can there be?

Dylan: She got married this morning to Edvin Oss because she had to.

Caleb: She had to, so she is pregnant.

Dylan: I'm afraid so.

Caleb: You know what, I am so over her.  I don't even care anymore.

Dylan:  I'm glad you feel that way because I do have some good news for you also.  I figured I would get the bad news over and done with first.

Caleb:  I could use some good news now.

Dylan:  Sandi and I are sending you on a vacation and we won't take no for an answer.

Caleb:  Well you are going to have to.  I have to work to do.

Dylan: Oh no you don't.  Jules has cleared your calendar you are off for the next two weeks.

Caleb: Than I will clear up some of the old cases at Jackal and Bat Investigations.

Dylan: Done!  Sandi took care of them.

Caleb: I'm still not going.

Dylan: Yes you are.  Money is non refundable.  Just because things did not work out with Valerie doesn't mean you have to stop living.  Maybe you will meet a nice girl over there.

Caleb:  If I didn't know better I would think you were sending me on a singles retreat.

Dylan:  Ummmmm bro..

Caleb: You are aren't you.

Dylan:  Well its a bit more than just a singles retreat.  Its more like that TV show and you will be the only male there with 7 pretty ladies to choose from.  You get to know each of them and after the third day, you choose one to leave the group.  Just give it a chance.

Caleb:  Thanks bro, but no thanks.

Dylan:  Caleb seriously you need to do this.  You always said you didn't want to be without family and the sad truth is Sandi and I are not going to be around forever but you will.  We don't want to see you alone, you need to start a family of your own.  

Caleb:  I'm sorry I'm not going.

Dylan:  Please just give this a chance, promise me you will think about it.

Caleb: I'll think about it but no promises.

Caleb didn't think about it until he saw this.

Caleb: Nice to see you human again.  I just want to know one thing, is that baby mine?

Valerie: Mister you don't stop working long enough to make a baby.  No this baby is Edvin's

Caleb:  Just not sure how you know who the father of that baby is as it could be anyone's in Aurora Skies.  Divorcing you was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Caleb:  I have a word of advice for you, get a DNA test and don't believe a word she says.  I wish you luck as you will need it.

When Caleb got home, he called his brother.

Caleb: Dylan I reconsidered.  Let's do this!

Chapter 53-Friends with Benefits

As little girls Starr and Katherine grew up jumping rope, having tea parties and they played with their Barbie dolls together. One might say they were actually close but that was until they hit middle school. This is when the two went their separate ways. Katherine was always the model student and was transferred to the honors class, while Starr became tight with the popular crowd.  By the time they entered high school they were two different people on two different paths, had they not been family they wouldn't have even associated with one another ever again.

After the incident, the relationship between these two cousins went from bad to worse.  Starr wasn't affected to much, in fact she was pleased with the events that had taken place.  As far as she was concerned Spencer was hers, even if they were not exclusive.

Katherine was another story, she hid in her room just to hide her anger from Starr and her heartbreak from Spencer. Seeing them lying together naked in that bed knowing what they must have been doing the night before was too much for her heart to take.  The flashbacks of that moment would stay with her for a very long time.  She found it difficult to concentrate on her studies and the stress it brought out the inner beast inside of her.

Starr knew this was eating Katherine up inside, why else would she be a wolf when it wasn't a full moon. Katherine hated the curse she inherited from her father and she only transformed when it was a full moon or she had no other choice.   This presented the perfect opportunity for Starr to rub some salt into the wounds.

Starr: I  hope you are not too upset about the other day.  I know it was embarrassing for me that you found us au naturale in bed.

Katherine: Embarrassing for you?  You run around here all the time in your birthday suit.  I have seen your bare ass more times than I care to.

Starr:  I'm an artist and the beauty of the human body doesn't embarrass me, it was the fact that you caught us after a wild night of woohoo.  I know we haven't had much times for some girl talk lately but Oh my God is Spencer something else in bed.  We have a date tonight and I plan on waking up with him tomorrow morning.  I would promise that we will try to be quiet, but I'm not sure that is a promise I can keep.

Katherine knew Spencer wasn't hers but the thought of him being with Starr sent a jealous rage through her.  She planned to sleep on the couch in front of the TV that night which was far out of listening distance.  Graduation would be here soon so all she would have to do is continue to hide from both of them and she would be fine.

There was one problem with Katherine's plan and that was Spencer.  He thought of Katherine as a good friend and she was giving him the cold shoulder.  He understood the embarrassment she must have felt as he felt the same.  No matter what he didn't want to lose her friendship so he thought it best to try and reach out to her.

Spencer: Katherine the door is locked, can I come in to talk with you?  Just for a moment.

Katherine: I'm not decent

Spencer: Throw something on Katherine, we really need to talk.  I'm not going away until you open the door.

Katherine knew she had no choice but to face him, so she unlocked the door and let him in.

Spencer:  I know we are all feeling a little awkward about the other day.

Katherine:  Awkward is not the word I would use to describe it, but I will go with that for now.

Spencer:  Well it was not the best way for you to find out that Starr and I have taken our friendship to another level, but you had to know that would happen sooner or later.

Katherine: Friendship? Aren't you a little more than friends with her now?  I thought you were in love with her.

Spencer:  I do love her more than she will ever know and I always will, but this is not the right time. We are all going to graduate soon and than we will all be going down our own paths.  I'll be enrolling in medical school and than there is my internship to consider, Starr was offered a job as a photo journalist and will be traveling to many different places a serious relationship might not be in the cards for us at this point in our lives.

Starr and I are not exclusive and we are free to date others.  You might say we are friends with benefits for the time being.  I am hoping that when I finish medical school and my internship that might change because I really do love her.

While the two are talking Spencer's phone rang.  Once again Starr was in trouble and whenever she was in trouble she called Spencer.

Spencer:  I'm sorry Katherine but I have to go we will need to finish this conversation later.  I want to remain friends with you and forget the whole incident even happened.  I do hope that is possible.

Spencer:  Will you contact Starr's parents as she has been arrested again and she will need $1,000 to pay the fine.

Katherine:  What she do this time?

Spencer: Most likely street art again, the charge is vandalism. I better get down there before she gets herself into more trouble.

As he leaves his words stay in her mind.  They are not exclusive, he can see others.  Well if that is the case, she planned to stake her claim.

Katherine:  Oh my dear cousin, you have not won, not by a long shot.  However when I land Spencer it will be exclusive and on my terms.  Operation snag Spencer is underway.
