Reluctantly, Katherine called Starr's parents and told them that she needed legal help yet again. She would have rather let Starr rot in jail, but she knew the entire family wouldn't appreciate that. Starr was the heir apparent destined to carry out the families mission to save the universe even if she wasn't qualified for the job. The way Katherine seen it, the universe was in a whole bunch of trouble with Starr cast as the role of savior. Grandma Holly and Grandpa Emmett insisted Starr would rise up to the opportunity and complete her part in the mission they were sure of it, but Katherine wasn't.
Katherine: What? No jumpsuit.
Starr: Not in the mood Little Miss Sunshine.
Katherine: but you do look so lovely in orange, it really is your color.
Starr: Not as lovely as you look in black and blue which can be arranged, but we both know green is more your color. You been jealous of me since we were kids and you still are.
Katherine: Jealous of what? You! Now that is a joke!
Spencer: Ok enough you two. Its late maybe we should all get some sleep.
Starr: Going to bed sounds like a good idea. Spencer, why don't you sleep in my room tonight? I would really like some company after my ordeal. I'll be waiting for you.
Katherine: Your ordeal? Oh! Pul-eeze!
Spencer: I'll be right there, I just want to talk to Katherine first.
Katherine: Why do you run to her all the time? All she does is use you and when she is finished she is going to dump you.
Spencer: You don't understand, Starr and I have an understanding, which is between Starr and myself.
Katherine: I just don't like seeing you being used, she doesn't love you but I do. Spencer please don't go into that room with her tonight, stay with me instead.
Spencer: Katherine I had no idea you felt that way and I am flattered, but I'm sorry I'm not ready for a relationship with you or anyone else. I see you as a friend.
Katherine: You are saying this because of Starr, aren't you? What about your relationship with her? You two are sleeping together and its not serious!
Spencer: No its not serious and this I have told you before. My relationship with Starr is what is right for me at this point in my life. You keep saying she using me, but you don't see what she has done for me. While I excel in my studies, socially I am in-apt. Starr has changed that for me and to be honest none of this is really your concern.
I don't know what will happen later on in life, and I'm not deluding myself. I know I might not have a future with Starr and I may not want one as I'm not thinking that far in advance. I will always love Starr as she is a fascinating woman and she will always be special to me.
You are the type of girl who needs someone who is willing to make a commitment to you and I am not that person. We are all going to graduate in a couple of days so why don't we make the best of it and let us forget all of this happened.
Katherine: Spencer how can you say that? She has you brainwashed.
Starr: Katherine what the hell are you doing?
Spencer: Katherine is just tired and needs some sleep as do we.
Starr: Good Idea, Katherine get your hands off Spencer. Its our bedtime.
Katherine decided it was best to avoid both of them as graduation was only a few days away. She was rejected by Spencer and she hated Starr more than ever. She stayed in her room and studied as she already received word that AS Trading Inc. was offering her a job as a stock broker, all she needed was to take the test for her license and she was in. The one promise she did make to herself was that Starr was going to pay for everything she ever did. Katherine wouldn't rest until the whole family saw Starr for the person she really was.
Starr and Spencer had a good friendship mainly because they needed each other. Starr needed good grades and Spencer needed to socialize. Having the most beautiful girl in school agree to be his prom date did wonders for his self esteem and his confidence. When he told Katherine he got as much as he gave to Starr, he was telling the truth. If it wasn't for Starr's support, he doubted he would ever have the courage to go to Med School.
When Starr returned home she had an appointment to meet with one of the editors of the Aurora Skies Times. She was offered a job in photo journalism and she couldn't wait to start. The problem was she got used to having Spencer around and now phone calls and Skype would have to do. Spencer wasn't the love of her life and this she knew, in fact she doubted she ever would fall in love or get married. Kids, forget them! This was not in her plan.
When she returned home she stayed at Uncle Caleb's house as he was off filming The One. She watched that show every season however it was difficult to watch it now. She practically drooled over every bachelor on that program which was her main reason for watching it. This season the bachelor was her Uncle, so no main attraction for her this time around. She did keep up with the progress, she thought that Peyton girl would be cool to hang out with but was not surprised that her Uncle chose Hope as The One.
She was given the job a redecorating the house while Uncle was away. Caleb didn't want to return home with his new wife to the same house he lived in with Valerie, but he wouldn't sell the house to move to another. Dylan and Sandi lived next door and he wanted to stay close to his brother. He asked that his artistic niece handle the job for him which she was more than happy too. She had the whole house to herself and didn't have worry about the twins making too much noise in the morning while she was nursing a hangover.
She did use this time to find her own place to live. A real estate development company were building new houses in the area and she put a down payment on one. She just had to wait for the construction to be finished. Her new life was almost complete, just one more issue to handle, her job.
She explained that she needed to wait for the beginning of next week as she had a family event to attend, and he said he understood as he had his own plans for weekend. As soon as Starr returned from Monte Vista, she was more than ready to leave for Egypt.

I feel really bad for Katherine :/ It must hurt tremendously to see someone you love be with someone else, even though they know that there's no lasting relationship in it. I know she thinks that Starr uses him, but it's more like they are using each other at this point. I don't like how she more or less swore revenge against Starr, hope she won't do anything silly.
Katherine has been hurt but more about Starr's position in the family than she is about Spencer. Holly and Emmett consider Starr their heir and Katherine feels she doesn't deserve it and Starr was 100% correct when she called Katherine jealous. They both think its over Spencer but its more a family issue than anything else.

Wow...Katherine got rejected by Spencer. That had to hurt to put your feelings out there and then just have them trampled over. He didn't even seem to care, not even a little about how she felt and how all of it affected her. He could have at least not gone off to Starr's room that night. I'm glad they are no longer living together but I don't think this is the end of things.
ReplyDeleteKatherine harbors a lot of anger and jealousy and I hope that Holly and Emmett can see that. The threat of Denny is bad enough, but this quest seems to be causing more fracturing within the family. :(
I can't wait to see how Starr redos the place for Caleb. I'm sure she has a great sense of style and it will be great.
On to her family event :D then off to Egypt.
Yep Katherine put herself out there and was tossed aside. There is more to Spencer than we know, he actually likes his arrangement with Starr. These three should have never been living together but now that is all over.
DeleteBoth Katherine and Spencer will be back later on and Katherine will be planning revenge as she will have the key to bring the whole family down and if Starr is not careful she will.
Oh yeah had to redecorate Caleb house and set it up for kiddies. I really don't have a house for Starr yet and I need one with plenty of wall space, so leaving her there until I find the perfect one.

Katherine may not be the only one who thinks that the universe is in trouble with Starr leading the way. Man, all the wolves are out! What a confrontation. Doesn't Starr know there has been enough family drama and grudges in the past? Nah, that diva doesn't care. Something tells me that her bad attitude will catch up with her someday, or someone will set her straight.

I feel really sorry for Katherine, she seemed to love Spencer but somehow I think she deservers better. Spencer seems to be a good guy but he definitely doesn't love her...

Spencer is the most reasonable out of them all. He knows he doesn't have feeling for Katherine and he is not going to string her along. He also explained his relationship with Starr to her, but she can not comprehend that they are only friends. When Spencer says he loves Starr, it is as a friend.
DeleteKatherine is jealous of Starr and Starr is what she is. The best thing is for those two to stay away from each other. Starr is about to get those lessons, but she will learn from another source.
Spencer is actually kind of smart... at first I thought that Spencer was being strung along, and he might have been as a teen, but now that he's an adult, he seems to have fully grasped the concept of what his and Starr's dynamic is, and that's really good because he won't get his heart broken or anything like that, he's not deluded. Katherine is... wow, she's quickly letting her jealousy eat her alive, she is now plotting to expose Starr? Dang... and it's not even really for anything Starr did other than just not have Spencer as a real boyfriend, in the way that Katherine thinks a boyfriend should be. I know her parents already know Starr is kind of a wild child and a rebel, so I am not sure who exactly Katherine thinks she will be surprising with this information she wants to expose.
ReplyDeleteAt the beginning Starr was manipulating Spencer but after a while he was a willing participant. He has sort of changed and he has his eyes wide open and realizes that there may not be a future for him and Starr and that is fine with him. He knows he doesn't have any feelings for Katherine either and that he is not the right one for her. Ok maybe he could have been a little sympathetic towards her but it didn't work out that way. Starr was right when she called Katherine jealous which is the real reason Katherine wants to get even with Starr. She says she wants to show the whole family what Starr is about but she really wants is revenge.

Starr changed Spencer a bit and he learned how to have a little more fun. He has known Starr long enough to know what she is about and he is fine with it.
